In 2008, EastEnders star and Strictly Come Dancing winner Kara Tointon went to Zambia with Christian Aid to see for herself how our partner organisations are helping to keep together families devastated by HIV/AIDS.
She also saw examples of Present Aid gifts in action.
Kara's visit featured in a double-page spread in The Sun, and she appeared on GMTV to talk about her experience.
She has since taken part in the Great North Run for us.
