Actress Hayley Atwell, star of Brideshead Revisited and the female lead in 2011 summer blockbuster Captain America, travelled to Nicaragua for Christian Aid Week to see the work of coffee co-operativeSoppexcca.
Christian Aid has given funding and guidance to Soppexcca for the past 12 years, during which time the co-operative has grown from 65 small-scale coffee producers to more than 700.
Profits are now being invested back into the communities to pay for education and healthcare projects.
Hayley returned from her trip to write a piece for the BBC and discuss her visit on Radio 5 Live and in Hello! magazine.
