Beverley Knight

Beverley Knight performs at The Big Christmas Sing launch

One of Britain's most successful soul singers, Beverley Knight has been working with Christian Aid for a number of years.

Her involvement began with a trip to see an HIV prevention project in northern Brazil in 2002.

In 2011, the MOBO-award winner fronted our Christmas appeal to raise awareness of our HIV projects.

Beverley saw the power of music when she visited the In Tune for Life project in Lilongwe, Malawi with Christian Aid.

She has written about World AIDS Day for us for newspapers, sung at Trade Justice and Make Poverty History events, and appeared on BBC1's Question Time.

Beverley also lent her voice to 2009's inaugural Big Christmas Sing launch event, where she performed as the headline act.
