On 9 June, we harnassed the legendary super powers of a good old cuppa for our Trace the Tax campaign.
Tea Time for Change saw 1,400 campaigners from all over the UK descend on London for a brew with 131 MPs while pressing them on key issues related to global poverty:
Making aid spending count
Championing new and fair ways to fund development
And, our principal issue, stopping tax dodging
We joined forces with ActionAid, Cafod, Oxfam, Save the Children and Tearfund.
Our supporters asked MPs what the government is doing to end tax haven secrecy, and quizzed them on the role the role UK companies can play in changing the financial rules that make tax dodging such a massive obstacle to the fight against poverty.
