Fast for the climate

Last November, tens of thousands of people stood in solidarity with communities devastated by Typhoon Haiyan and fasted during the UN climate negotiations.

They took their lead from Yeb Saño, delegate for the Philippines.

Despairing at world leaders' lack of ambition, Saño pledged not to eat during the conference unless they delivered action to 'stop the madness' of climate change.

This year, the movement is growing. People from all over the world have pledged to fast on the 1st of every month until progress is made on tackling climate change.
