G20 Global Day of Action

By Alasdair Roxburgh | 7 October 2011

Around the world, our fellow members of the End Tax Haven Secrecy campaign are taking coordinated action today to lift the veil of secrecy that protects tax havens, allowing tax dodging to thrive at the huge expense of poor communities around the globe.

With less than a month till its big meeting in Cannes, the G20 is evidently not taking this issue as seriously as it should. That's why we need to push the issue up their agenda.

And that’s why in the next two days different organisations will be doing a variety of actions to get world leaders attention and we need your support. Here's how you can help.

1. Email the G20

Keep up the pressure on the G20 by writing to some of its key ministers.

Act now!Call on David Cameron, Nick Clegg and French president, Nicolas Sarkozy, to end tax haven secrecy at this year’s G20.

Already taken the action? Why not share it with your friends?

2. Send a tweet to the G20

The best place to follow the action - and take part - will be on Twitter, with friends around the world using the microblogging site to demonstrate the truly global scale of this campaign.

Tweet now!If you're on Twitter, log in and send the message below to the G20 via its @FranceG20 account.

3. Follow the day on Twitter

And even if you're not on Twitter, you can follow the action on the Twitter feed below...
