Meet Laura Trevelyan, campaigns officer and Parliamentary lobbyist at Christian Aid

By Laura Trevelyan | 30 July 2010

My name's Laura and I work in the campaigns team at Christian Aid. Over the next couple of months, most of my work will be organising our lobby of parliament on 20 October.

It's going to be really hectic to get it all organised in time but arranging events is one of my favourite things about my job.

It's incredibly inspiring to meet supporters who are willing to travel across the country to speak out against injustice.

I spend most of the events running around but when I meet people who have got up at 3am so get on a coach I can’t feel tired anymore!

Laura TrevelyanThe supporter day on 20 October will be no different.  It'll be a chance for everyone to come together to hear from Jesse Jackson and new Christian Aid Director, Loretta Minghella.

Then we'll get to work lobbying Parliament.

We'll give you plenty of tips and tell you everything you need to know before meeting your MP.

We need as many supporters there as possible - to show our MPs that tax justice and climate change are issues their constituents care about.

Register for the day of action now - I hope to see lots of you there!
