Christian Aid has staged its third Mass Visual Trespass, lighting up Birmingham’s Cathedral Square with your climate justice messages.
The Bishop of Birmingham, the Right Reverend David Urquhart, joined thousands of you by recording his own message and the projection made an eye-catching addition to commuters’ journey home.

The projection featured Christian Aid supporters calling on Gordon Brown and other world leaders to work for a fair deal in Copenhagen and not hold back the talks.
The clock is ticking, and while we wait for the world’s richest countries to agree a deal, 300,000 people are dying every year in poor countries because of climate change.
So we need you more than ever to put pressure where it’s needed and show your support for a fair deal to Gordon Brown. Please add your message and join the trespass.

Why Birmingham city centre?
Christian Aid’s head of campaigns, Paul Brannen, said after the trespass: ‘We’ve promised to project our supporters climate messages in places where they will get noticed.
‘Sometimes this means at a political or climate target – but sometimes it needs to be where lots of people will see the messages and be inspired to take part.
‘Birmingham is a vibrant, diverse city and we’re delighted that so many people voiced their concerns about climate change today.
‘At this crucial time, the more people who get involved, the more our politicians will take notice about the need for a fair deal in Copenhagen.’
